SUKHISHVILI IN SPLIT - GEORGIAN NATIONAL BALLET SUKHISHVILI

One of the world's most renowned dance ensembles, the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili, is coming to Split! The Georgian National Ballet brings a spectacular performance to the Split audience, accompanied by an orchestra with unique instruments whose sounds narrate the musical history and tradition of authentic Georgian dance for over 75 years. With incredible skill on stage and thrilling choreographies defying gravity, they have earned titles such as "flying Georgians," "eighth wonder of the world," "hurricane on stage," "Georgia's miracle," "poetry in motion," "the best dancers in the world," and more, being declared several times as the "best show on Broadway."

Founded in 1945, Sukhishvili quickly gained a reputation that spread worldwide. In over 75 years of existence, they have performed in more than 100 countries on all continents, on the most famous and largest stages in London, New York, Paris, and Milan. With over 300 regional and worldwide tours and approximately 20,000 performances, they have captivated over 90 million people, positioning Georgian dance on the world map.

The ballet ensemble always performs accompanied by its own orchestra, consisting of musicians who are trained for generations to play traditional Georgian instruments. The complex and demanding choreography seamlessly combines synchronized movements of the troupe with the astonishing technical skills of individual performers: energetic male dancers skillfully soar through the air, clashing swords and daggers, competing in dynamic movements and high jumps to win the favor of elegant dancers who gracefully float across the stage with meticulous steps. The signature move of the Sukhishvili ensemble is the "toe dance," a demanding choreographic movement learned from the age of 5 and continuously perfected throughout life.

The Georgian National Ballet is a unique phenomenon that everyone should see at least once in their life!"
